Ari Shapiro is an openly gay journalist and has been married to his husband, Michael Gottlieb since 2018. Michael Gottlieb is also a journalist and works as a strategic communications consultant in New York. The couple met in 2004 and got married in a private ceremony in New York City. They currently reside in Washington DC.
